Hamas money trail, pro-Russian hackers — Milan riot investigation takes an international turn!
MILAN, SUNDAY NIGHT — As this edition was going to press, news reached our newsroom that prosecutors in Genoa are examining possible contacts between the alleged organizer of Milan's October 17 Movement and individuals implicated in a separate investigation into suspected Hamas financing.
That earlier inquiry led to seven arrests in December 2025, including Mohammad Hannoun.
And there is another name in the files: NoName, the pro-Russian hacker network. According to RaiNews, investigators are also examining possible links between the movement and the group.
HAMAS. RUSSIAN HACKERS. MILAN STREET VIOLENCE.
Three threads. One rapidly expanding investigation.
No operational connection has yet been established, and the allegations remain to be tested. But what began as a police investigation into violent demonstrations now raises questions extending far beyond the streets of Milan.
The police have entered the family home. The prosecutors are looking across borders. And the story is no longer confined to Milan.
